Sapporo
Japanese Barley Lager
Sapporo Product Information
Sapporro is Japan’s oldest brand of beer. Introduced in Hokkaido in 1876 (the Meiji 10), the Red Star (Sapporo’s nickname) has been popular for it’s bold taste and pleasant aroma.
Nakagawa Seibei’s fateful encounter with Zenzo Aoki in Germany led him to begin his labor intensive studies at the Berlin Beer Brewing Company, where he developed his well-guarded secret blend of fine quality raw malt, hops, rice, corn, and starch for a substantial feel in the mouth and creamy foam. Sapporo challenged German brewing tradition with the innovative development of pioneering strains of uniquely Japanese raw materials for a delicious beer you simply will not find anywhere else. Sapporo leaves a refreshingly honest, crisp aftertaste glass after glass. Satisfy your thirst with a nod to Japan.
